Facebook security improvementFacebook creators are seriously concerned about its users’ data security and are going forward in this direction. The recently offered options included an account anti-theft measure – friend identity verification by authorization attempt, especially if it is attempted from unfamiliar PC. Facebook displayed a photo of one of the friends and suggested to call his name. It seems elementary for you and absolutely unsolvable for a cracker. But the intention failed as many users trend to change avatars and names. Now Facebook introduces new options for security protection. The first one is the ability to log-out or to terminate session of any device you used for network authorization. It is required, for example, when you are still in your account by logging-in from your workplace computer. Now you may log-out at home. The second one is temporary password SMS delivery option. This password is valid during 20 minutes or so and is useful in case of public place connection to network, for example, Internet Cafe. |
